Loot System – Open Bid DKP

In Virtue II utilizes an “open bid DKP” loot system. This means members/recruits will earn DKP on an hourly basis. Members/recruits will spend their DKP by bidding openly in guild chat when an officer links the item and initiates the bid process.

Main Raiders/Second Mains/Recruits/FnF earn DKP on an hourly basis.

DKP is earned on an hourly basis per player. Second mains have their own pool

The current tiers and values are as follows (subject to change):
A typical raid night may look like the following:
8:00 PM - Raid start, on-time tick = 5 DKP
9:00 PM - Hour tick = 5 DKP
10:00 PM - Hour tick = 5 DKP
11:00 PM - Hour tick = 5 DKP
12:00 AM - End of raid Tick = 5 DKP

DKP Tick Change as of 1/22/2019
Any raid night in which less than 25 DKP is earned from regular ticks will have 5 extra DKP added to the End of Raid tick.

Note: Bonus DKP will be awarded for first-time guild kills and other noteworthy occasions. These will be determined at leadership discretion.

Raid Attendance
Raid attendance percentage is tracked, but is only relevant to DKP insofar as the status of the player’s Loot Tier (see Loot Tier section below).
Main raiders must have 40% 30 day RA, or 60% 60 day RA to bid on loot as Tier 1.

Spending DKP
You can only bid with the points displayed on the DKP page on the In Virtue II website with the exception of applicants (Tier 3) on rotting items. The maximum an applicant may bid on a rotting item is 5 DKP. DKP may be spent on items usable by any player’s max level character. However, the player must win the item via open bid. To win an item, the player must be the highest bidder when the bidding in guild chat ends.

During the bid process, you may raise your bid as many times as you like provided you have enough DKP to spend. Bids must be made in increments of 1 or more. At the end of each high bid, the Loot Master whom initiated the bid will after a period of time do a last call in rsay or guild chat. He/She will silently do a 20 second countdown. Each additional bid will restart the countdown until all bidding is exhausted. There is no sniping and players will have the 20 second time period to respond to any bid.

Loot Tiers
Tier 1 - Main Raiders (40% and higher 30 or 60% or higher 60 day raid attendance)
Tier 2 - Second mains in the raid
Tier 3 – Recruits and Alts that are currently in the raid
Tier 4 - Recruits & Alts NOT currently in raid (Must be max level and only if the item is going to rot)

Loot Tier notes: Tier 2 can only beat Tier 1 up to 25 points. Tier 3 & 4 can never beat Tier 1.

Non Boss Mob Items
These types of items will be rolled off. Need Rolls for Tier 1, greed rolls for Tier 2/3. Each person is only allowed to roll on ONE character at a given time.

DKP Point Cap: 750
Maximum bid is 750. The first 750 bid is the one recognized. If there is a disagreement, the Loot Master will say and post a screenshot in Discord of whom appears first on their screen.

Note: If the same amount is bid by two players on any single item, the bid that was observed first by the Loot Master will be the one that wins. The second person that bid at the same amount will need to submit a new higher bid if they want the item. This applies to matching all in bids as well.

Minimum Bids
All Items will have a minimum bid of 5 DKP required.

Decay
All members of the guild will have an expansion launch decay of 50%. This includes second mains. This will be applied as close to the expansion launch date as possible, but due to real life schedules and the time commitment necessary to apply the decay, it may occur up to one week prior to an expansion if necessary.

Bidding Notes
Bid in the channel that the Loot Master posts the item in, if they are posting it in /guild or /rsay, they are doing it for a reason. Always bid for from your main toon to keep loot tracking simple for the Officers.
When bidding follow this format for each tier:
Tier 1: /guild or /rsay T1 10DKP
Tier 2: /guild or /rsay T2 10DKP
Tier 3: /guild or /rsay T3 10DKP
Tier 4: /guild or /rsay T4 10DKP

Item Miscellanea
Augments - Bidding will start at 1 with a 1 point increment.
Spells only attainable via raiding- These will be handed out by officers at their discretion until it is no longer necessary. Then they will be mains need alts greed. No DKP cost is associated with spells.
Epic Pieces & Key Parts – Interest Tells will be taken and loot counciled out based upon the progress/Tier of the person interested.
Duplicate Items - If two identical items drop the winners will be the two highest bidders.

Bid Example
(Note: Here every additional bid extends the timer 20 seconds, there is no sniping

Swan tells the guild “!@#Amulet of Necropotence – Min 5DKP”
Barudin tells the guild “Ivorach - T2 10dkp”
Krimz tells the guild “T11 5dkp”
Swan tells the guild “!@#Amulet of Necropotence - LAST CALL
Stankydanky tells the guild “T1 15dkp”
Swan waits 20 second.
Barudin tells the guild “T2 20dkp”
Swan waits 20 seconds and there are no further bids
**Barudin wins the item**

Second Main Policy

The point of having a second main policy is to have a set of characters to supplement our raid force. This may fill out our raids when we are low numbers, or allow us to split high value targets like Quarm/RZ to get more loot from then. The policy incentivizes this by giving second mains access to lower tier gear, which in turn lets them be more useful to us.
Understand that the point of the policy isn’t: “GEAR MUH ALTS!” or “LET’S BE A ZERG FIVE SPLITTER GUILD”

Second Main Policy effective date:

This following second main policy will go into effect on 1/27/2019. You may declare your second main in the post linked here. -- Follow the template given. Any second main that isn't declared by the end of day 1/26/2019 may have a wait before they can start earning DKP. Sorry folks, we're human and can only process this stuff as fast as we can process it.

Second Main DKP:

Second mains will have their own DKP pool.

Second Main DKP will be halved with the beginning of every expansion, including LDoN. If Second Main DKP reaches a critical mass at some point in the future, a wipe may be considered.

Any second mains sitting out will not get DKP, except by officer discretion. DKP for sitting out on a second will be given in rare instances where we need a character on standby for something, or that character is performing a necessary task outside of the raid. This is not something that will happen regularly, so do not bank on it. If we need 1 character of a certain class, people with second mains outside the raid can decide among themselves, or /random for the slot.

Second Main Requirements:

For the end of Luclin: Second mains are not going to be required to have VT or Emp key due to the proximity to the end of Luclin. That being said, you will gain no DKP in Ssra without Emp key, and not be able to get DKP for VT raids unless you are keyed and in the zone. The only target that we plan to split is Seru, so be aware. Any second mains declared before 2/13/19 are exempt to gear/AA requirements within reason, we don't want your naked level 60 wizard or your crushbone geared ranger.

Any second mains declared after PoP launch must have a minimum AA count of 75 (Subject to change with each expansion after PoP). Healers must have healing AA’s, Buffers must have MGB, Melee must have basic offensive AA’s, Tanks must have defensives. These characters must also be wearing a reasonable set of bazaar/groupable gear at a bare minimum.

All second mains are subject to officer approval, and will need to discuss with an officer what the expectations for their character will be. We don’t expect your second main to top DPS charts, or one tank raid bosses, but you have to expect to perform the basic duties of your class without causing your main character's performance to suffer.

Second Main Attendance Expectations:

Second mains will be used at the discretion of leadership and will not be added to raids we are not splitting unless there is a need for for them.

Bringing second mains is optional, but if someone refuses to bring a second main to fill an actual need repeatedly, then leadership reserves the right to revoke second main status for that character for a period of 30 days.

When we aren't splitting content, second mains will be added based on need. This means that some classes will get preference. This is just how things work, and there's nothing that can be done about this.

Second Main Status evaluations:

With every expansion release, Second main status will be discussed by leadership and recruitment. This will be done upon the launch of Planes of Power as well.

That being said, we will evaluate second main performance as things progress. If your second main is literally standing around and soaking up oxygen, then don't expect it to stay a second main for long.

Second Main Changes:

You must wait 30 days after looting an item with a second main to change to a new one. Second Main DKP will be wiped after a change.

Second Main Loot Policy:

Second mains will bid as Tier 2. Tier 2 bids up to 25 DKP will be able to win over Tier 1. There are no restrictions for this at this time, but we may restrict it in the future.

Second mains will begin earning DKP 1/27/2019.

With level cap increases, second mains cannot bid on loot unless they are max level by the deadline set for full members. This will vary based on the expansion, and will be posted of each expansion's planning/goal.

Main Changes

To initiate a main change the person must contact the Guild Leader and officers. This will be discussed among the Officers and a decision will be made on a case by case basis. While our goal is for everyone to have fun and play something they enjoy, we also must be able to function as a guild.

1st approved main change
50 dkp + 30% total SPENT on all items in the last era through current era will be deducted from the player’s current DKP total. The character will remain as a full member of the guild.
2nd approved main change
100 dkp + 40% total SPENT on all items in the last era through current era will be deducted from the player’s current DKP total. Raid attendance will be wiped however you will be unable to loot for TWO weeks from your first raid after the main change. The character will remain as a full member of the guild.

Officer requested main changes have no penalty. (Official requests will come from Mesozoic based on needs) Main changes to needed classes will often be considered Officer requested.

Unapproved main changes result in a complete wipe of DKP and you have to start over as friends and family and build your attendance and DKP back up.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will my DKP decay?
A1: - 750 Point Cap adjusted at 10 AM EST daily
A2: - 50% Expansion Decay

Q: Are there any loot restrictions?
A: At the officer discretion, some items will be limited to certain classes for a limited time. This will be very rare and there are no current plans to do it for any item in Luclin. If an item will be limited at all it will be announced ahead of time.

Q. The raid/expedition is full or there is not enough push spots, do I still earn DKP?
A: Yes, if the raid is full you will earn DKP and attendance please speak with one of the officers so they can let you know whom is handling DKP that evening.

Q. What if I go negative?
A: Going negative is allowed in one off situations up to but not exceeding the minimum bid of 5 DKP if the item is going to rot. Going negative in any other situation is NOT allowed and will be handled by the Officers if the situation arises.

Q. What items should I spend DKP on?
Ultimately, it’s your DKP to spend as you see fit. However, if it becomes a problem the officers may speak to you about it. If you bid on an item you are unable to use/wear, your bid will be ignored

Q. Will anything be loot council moving forward?
There are no plans for this at the moment with the exception of spell runes and Epic pieces.

Q. Will anything go to rolls?
If an item is not bid on in all 4 tiers it will be considered rot and looted by an officer to destroy. If a player wants it at that point it they will be charged the minimum bid of 5 DKP.

RMT (Real Money Trading)

RMTing of Characters or Items earned within guild activities including scheduled raids and non-scheduled raids is frowned upon by a great many people in the guild. That being said if you are caught RMTing your characters or items earned with guild effort you risk being removed from the guild without warning. You will not be welcome back.
